My favourite park is Riverside Park. It's big enough to include a variety of offerings: the river, birds and animals, big grassy areas, picnic areas, gardens, the playground equipment, the carousel, the mini-train, and the huge community area where big public events are held with ample parking. You can find quiet, riverside trails or join in with others at community-building events at all times of the year. My family and friends have enjoyed picnics, special celebrations, fireworks, and Christmas lights all at Riverside Park.

My favourite park, in Guelph, is Riverside park. I love the ducks and Canada geese. The Multicultural Festival has been, for me, a wonderful gathering celebrating the many cultures in our fine city. My husband and I enjoy the hike up to Guelph Lake even in the warmest days along the mostly shaded trail. I love the enabling garden and the floral clock. I think some of the best things in Riverside Park are being able to watch the happy children playing in the new playground and , of course, the carousel and the little train. I think the, well used, picnic areas are wonderful and the Christmas lights show sponsored by the Rotary club is certainly one of the highlights of the year.

Riverside Park is my favourite park because it is a multi use open space for all people during all the seasons. The Enabling Garden is a fully accessible multiuse garden designed for everyone even those with varying degrees of physical & cognitive abilities. The park abounds with walking trails, playground equipment, picnic areas and benches to sit and connect with nature while enjoying the ever changing sights and sounds of the Speed River. This area provides a gathering place for families and social gatherings, noticed much more during these covid times. Even in -20 weather, you will find many skating on the outdoor rink.

Riverside Park is my favourite go-to place in Guelph. Guelph is a great place to live and the many parks are the reason for that. Riverside is such a large park providing quiet spots to sit and enjoy nature or the busier areas where families picnic, enjoy the play areas, partake in disc golf, play baseball and in winter enjoy the skating trail through the cedars. I have met visitors from Mississauga and Hamilton who tell me they come to the Clock Garden every year because of the beautiful plantings. The Enabling Garden is an interesting area and provides a great service to those in need of it. Watching the fox that made daily pilgrimages through the park last summer was fun. Tracking the migrating birds either through the trees or on the water is always rewarding. A bonus is to spot a bald eagle or a peregrine falcon. If the City and the Speed River Authority would only discourage the overpopulation of Canada geese our park would truly be Camelot!

I like Riverside because it not only has Enabling Garden but playground, river and walk through forest all in one spot. I feel safe there and the flow of the river is great. Also the Clock garden which has a huge variety of flowers and bushes. I use it every day and get to feel freedom in urban setting

My favourite park is Sunny Acres. It has a variety of activities for the old and young, skating rink in the winter, wading pool and playground in the summer. The park has so many beautiful trees and has lots of shade for those warm days.
